Associate Degrees available at UW-Stevens Point

UW-Stevens Point offers two associate’s degrees. Each degree is generally defined below. The requirements for the associate’s degree are the same for all students at UW-Stevens Point.

The requirements below are common to both associate degrees at UW-Stevens Point:

• Complete all the general requirements for your degree.

• Earn a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 in all courses attempted at UW-Stevens Point.

• Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.00 overall (includes both UW-Stevens Point and transfer credits).

• Earn at least 60 credits which include the general requirements for your degree. You may need to take some elective credits.

• Residency Requirement: Earn at least 15 of your total required credits in courses from any UW-Stevens Point campus, either in-person or online. Credits earned through experience, advanced placement

Associate of Arts and Science (AAS)

The AAS fulfills our institutional mission of providing access to higher education and a pathway to degree attainment for the residents of Wisconsin. The AAS is transferable to institutions across the UW System and provides you with a liberal arts general education and a breadth of intellectual and practical skills.

Associate of Science (AS)

The AS fulfills our institutional mission of providing access to higher education and a pathway to degree attainment for the residents of Wisconsin. The AS is transferable to institutions across the UW System and provides you with a liberal arts general education and a breadth of intellectual and practical skills.

You may earn an AS in Human Services, Leadership and Project Management, and Pre-engineering.
