You must receive written permission from your adviser to enroll in more than 16 credits during any semester that you enroll in remedial coursework. If you want to enroll in more than 18 credits during any semester that includes remedial coursework, you must receive written permission from the dean of your college. Factors that are considered in approving credit load include your ACT score, high school class rank, overall high school record, university GPA, and demands on your time such as coursework, extracurricular activities and employment. Entering freshmen who are placed into remedial mathematics must complete the remedial coursework before earning 30 credits toward graduation.
