Morphology, physiology, classification, cultivation of bacteria and viruses, with emphasis on microbial diseases, epidemiology, and immunology. Recommended for nursing and dietetics majors.

Prerequisites:
BIOL 101 or BIOL 130 or BIOL 160 and CHEM 101 or CHEM 105 .

Notes:
Does not fulfill requirements for the biology major or minor. 2 hrs lec, 4 hrs lab per wk.
