ENGL 341 - Invented Languages Description: Study of invented or constructed languages, such as Esperanto, or others such as Star Trek’s Klingon, in order to understand the building blocks of any language, natural or invented: phonology (sound system), morphology (word structure), syntax (sentence structure), lexicon (vocabulary), semantics (meaning), pragmatics (intent), and orthography (written form) of language. Creates a basic language, incorporating the appropriate structural elements.
