ENGL 283 - Mythology in Literature Description: The basic myths of creation, the flood, man’s fall, Olympians and their Roman counterparts, and stories of myth and history that form the basis of literary expression of Western culture; emphasis on Graeco-Roman, Judeo-Christian, and Norse myths, as they appear in selected poetry, novels, and plays.
Prerequisites: All English courses in the 200 series require sophomore standing as a prerequisite except that they are also open to second semester freshman English majors.
