Description:
Major mental health concerns across the lifespan. Introduction to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental disorders (DSM) as the organizing framework for reviewing major mental disorders. Mental health issues from a generalist perspective including the influence of social environment, culture, stigma, policy, recovery and co-occurring disorders. U.S. mental health system and social work roles.

Prerequisites:
Admission into Social Work Major or Instructor Consent
