HPW 304 - Coaching Psychology in Health Sciences and Wellness Description: An introduction to Health and Wellness Coaching with specialized training to help others create and sustain health behavior change. Training in best practice coaching techniques will address motivation, self-regulation, leveraging strengths, navigating a journey of change, and developing action strategies. Students are taught to help others build psychological resources including mindfulness, self-awareness, positivity, self-efficacy, support systems, accountability and resilience. Skill development is practiced through a peer-to-peer format.
Prerequisites: HPW 290 or Instructor Consent
