POLI 375 - Latin American Politics Description: Study Latin American political and economic development in the 20th century and examine current dilemmas of democratic consolidation and contemporary politics in select countries. Overarching themes include political leadership, economic development, populism, socialism, democratization, social movements and civil society, human rights, and the impact of international actors and forces.
Prerequisites: POLI 160 or Instructor Consent
