Morphology, physiology, classification, cultivation of bacteria and viruses, with emphasis on microbial diseases, epidemiology, and immunology. Recommended for nursing and dietetics majors. Does not fulfill requirements for the biology major or minor.

Prerequisites:
One of the following: BIOL 101, BIOL 110, BIOL 130, BIOL 160, CHEM 101, or CHEM 105
