CIS 150 - Advanced Techniques in Application Development Description: Introduction to fundamental concepts in the design and implementation of computer communication networks, their protocols, and architectures. Students understand how popular network applications such as Web browser, FTP client, remote connection, and email work on computer networks. Topics to be covered include: TCP/IP and OSI architecture, application layer (Web, FTP, remote connection, email, client and server interaction), transport layer (TCP/UDP), network layer (IP), data link layers, and concept of local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
Prerequisites: CNMT 210 .
