Physical Education Majors are required to follow the General Education Program requirements outlined in the Secondary/K-12 Education Curriculum for Teacher Certification .
You may NOT take courses pass/fail that lead to completion of the physical education, coaching, health education, or adapted physical education certification programs.
Content Knowledge Requirement
You must demonstrate knowledge of your content area in order to be licensed.
Demonstrate content knowledge by either:
- Obtaining a 3.00 or higher in each teaching major and teaching minor OR
- Submitting passing scores on the required state Praxis Subject Assessment exams
