This major is administered by the Division of Communication .

Consists of a minimum of 41 credits in communication courses:

Communication Core

Required

COMM 100 - Orientation to Communication 1 cr or
ARTM 100 - Orientation to Arts Management 1 cr. (must be taken during first seven UW-Stevens Point Communication credits)
COMM 200 - Communication Theory 3 cr.
COMM 201 - Introduction to Communication Research 3 cr.
COMM 400 - Communication Capstone 1 cr.

Upper-level requirement, 18 credits

Eighteen credits must be in courses numbered 300 or above.

Note

COMM 101 may not be used to complete the major.

Public Relations Emphasis

Required

You must also complete an internship or externship

COMM 480 - Communication Internship 1-8 cr. or
COMM 485 - Externship in Communication 6 cr.
