This minor is administered by the Division of Communication .

If you are interested in declaring a media studies minor, you must meet with a division representative. Contact the Division of Communication office to make an appointment.

Consists of a minimum of 18 credits.

Required, 9 credits

MSTU 105 - Foundations of Media Practice: Time, Motion, and Video 3 cr.
MSTU 106 - Foundations of Criticism: Understanding Media 3 cr.
MSTU 107 - Foundation of Media Writing 3 cr.

Electives, 9 credits

Of the 9 credits, 6 credits must be 300-level or above. Choose any combination of the following:

9 credits of MSTU courses
REL 350 - Religion and Film 3 cr.
FLNG 252 - Media Arts in World Cultures 3 cr. (subtitle: Bad Chicks in Foreign Flicks)
