This minor is administered by the School of School of Business and Economics .

Successfully complete 21-22 credits with a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher.

Foundation, 9-10 credits

ECON 110 - Principles of Macroeconomics 3 cr. and
ECON 111 - Principles of Microeconomics 3 cr.
OR
ECON 200 - Principles of Economics 3 cr. and
an additional 3 credits in 200-400 level Economics coursework. You may not take ECON 497 or ECON 498 to satisfy this requirement. Classes you take as part of other requirements of the minor do not satisfy this requirement.
MATH 255 - Elementary Statistical Methods 4 cr. or
other approved statistics course (ECON 243 , FOR 321 , HS 301 , MATH 354 , MATH 357 , PSYC 300 , or SOC 351 )

Electives, 12 credits

Complete 12 credits of additional economics courses, NOT including ECON 100 or ECON 200 . BUS 323 , BUS 352 , and BUS 353 count as economics electives.

Economics minor for teacher certification

Complete at least 24 credits in economics. Take 6 courses in addition to those in the Foundation above. We also recommend you take HIST 176 and HIST 177 as electives and in partial fulfillment of the general education requirements.
