Consists of 55-61 credits.

Second major, minor, or certificate program


Completion of a second major, minor, or approved certificate program is required. If you are seeking a career as a child life specialist, complete the Child Life Specialist Preparation Certificate .

Field Work


You may complete your field work requirements in one of two ways:

  1. Complete a minimum of three practicum credits of Study Abroad, International Service Learning, or other fully immersed diversity service learning experience, plus at least three additional credits earned in local experience.

OR

  1. Complete a total of 12 field work credits.

Experiential Learning Activity


Experiential Learning Activity requirement completed in consultation with CLFS Academic Adviser.

For those seeking a career as a child life specialist:


If you require affiliation with a school for practicum/internship in a child life setting, you will be required to register for 3 credits of HD 397  for practicums. You will be required to register for 6 credits for internships unless you have completed an approved diversity immersion service learning trip, in which case you will be permitted to register for 3 credits.
