Mentoring Certificate

This certificate is administered by the area of Education in the School of Education .

The Mentoring Certificate provides an opportunity for the advancement of leadership skills through the study of mentoring theory, mentoring research, and mentoring techniques and the application of this knowledge to a mentoring practicum experience.

This certificate requires 9 credits. The mentoring courses should be taken in sequence, but the additional credit electives can be taken at any time.

EDUC 145 - Introduction to Mentoring Credits: 3
EDUC 245 - Appreciative Mentoring Credits: 1
EDUC 345 - Leadership and Transition in Mentoring Credits: 1
EDUC 445 - Culminating Experience in Mentoring Credits: 1

3 credits from the following courses:

PSL 301 - Post-Secondary Learning Theory and Practice Credits: 1-3 (must be taken for 3 credits)
PSYC 110 - Introduction to Psychology Credits: 3
