Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Early Childhood Education Major, you will be able to: 

  1. Reflect on your various practicum teaching experiences in preparation for your summative student teaching requirement. 
  2. Demonstrate/understand/appreciate professionalism in your interactions with other students, professors, and cooperating teachers by assessing your professional behavior through the School of Education’s Final Cooperating Teacher Evaluation. 
  3. Plan effective and engaging lessons for students in the Pre-K -3 grades. 
  4. Differentiate and support learners with broad ranges of abilities through developmentally-appropriate instructions and resources. 
  5. Assess student learning in developmental domains of learning that include cognitive, language, and socio-emotional) in PreK-K - 3rd grade.  

 

Consists of 89 credits.
