Teacher Certification:
Option A: Cross-Categorical Special Education - grades Kindergarten-12th grade - Does not include 4-year old kindergarten.
Option B: Early Childhood Special Education - grades birth-3rd grade.
Option C: certifications in both.
Note: a 2.75 GPA in the major and overall GPA is required for student teaching.

Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Special Education Program, you will be able to:
- Design safe, inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments for students with exceptionalities.
- Use knowledge of curricula to individualize learning for students with exceptionalities.
- Use multiple methods of assessment and data-sources in making educational decisions for students with exceptionalities.
- Select and adapt evidence-based instructional strategies to individualize learning for students with exceptionalities.
- Demonstrate strategies for engagement with those who support students with disabilities, including families, other educators, related service providers, and community agencies.
Consists of 68 credits.
