To receive the 860 add-on certification, complete this sequence in addition to the physical education (K-12) teaching major.

Program Requirements


  • You must have completed a bachelor’s degree.
  • You must already be a licensed physical education teacher.
  • You must meet the state teacher licensing rules which are subject to chage at any time due to legislative or licensing changes.

Pathways


  1. This Adapted Physical Education certification can be completed as a specialization in the Education, MSE  program, and if you are pursuing this pathway, you will enroll as a degree seeking student.  
  2. This Adapted Physical Education certification can be taken as certification only, and if you are pursuing this pathway, you will enroll as a non-degree seeking student. 

Courses


All of these courses must be earned within a seven-year period (starting with the beginning of the term the course was approved for your program of study).

All of these courses are contingent upon a review of your transcripts.

Note


If you are completing Adpated Physical Education as a post-baccalaureate add-on license, you will complete EDUC 507  (1 credit) in place of PEX 398 .
