This major is administered by the Department of Geography and Geology .
Program Learning Outcomes
As a graduate of the Geospatial Sciences B.S. you will be able to:
- Explain environmental processes and the resulting geographic patterns of climate, landforms, water, and life
- Utilize appropriate methodologies for solving geographic research and conducting geospatial problems
- Explain the development and spatial distribution of human cultural activities along with their relationship to environmental factors
- Read, interpret, and analyze spatial information from thematic and reference maps
- Explain the procedural elements in creating a map and create a reference or thematic map of a chosen spatial phenomenon
Consists of a minimum of 44 credits depending on the classes selected. Additional credits will be needed to complete a required minor of choice.
Note: Required courses marked ** below have Math prerequisites. Depending on your placement score, additional courses may be required.
