The Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) is a joint program with the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point School of Health Sciences and Wellness  (area of Communication Sciences and Disorders ) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD), you will: 

  1. Complete and pass the Capstone Project 
  2. Complete a minimum of 1,820 supervised clinical practicum hours 
  3. Demonstrate professional practice competencies in the areas of ethical conduct and self-evaluation of effectiveness of practice

Consists of a minimum of 93 credits.

Clerkship, 4 credits


Must take course two times for 2 credits each.

Clerkship, 7 credits


Must take course three times; once at 3 credits and twice at 2 credits.

Clerkship, 9 credits


Must take course three times for 3 credits each.

Externship, 11 credits


Must take course three times; once at 4 credits and twice at 3 credits.

Capstone Study, 7 credits


Must take course three times; once at 1 credit and twice at 3 credits.

Seminar, 4 credits


Must take course two times for 2 credits each.

Required if not completed in undergrad
