This certificate is administered by Sociology and Social Work .
The Child Advocacy Studies Certificate is a three-course (nine credit) program that aims to teach foundational and advanced skills and knowledge to prevent child maltreatment and to identify, assess, intervene, and evaluate children and families involved in child welfare systems as well as survivors of child maltreatment. A multidisciplinary approach is used to recognize, respond, and advocate for children, families, and survivors.
