College of Natural Resources Major, BS + MNR (4+1 Track - CNR Major, BS + Conservation and Leadership, MNR)


This program is administered by the Discipline of your major in the COLLEGE OF NATURAL RESOURCES .

 

This is an option for early application into the Master of Natural Resources (MNR) graduate program offered by the College of Natural Resources. Information on the MNR degree can be found at: www.uwsp.edu/MNR.

Students should apply to the BS and MNR 4+1 Track by March 1 of their junior year. Students may be working towards any bachelor’s degree offered by the College of Natural Resources. Students should fully discuss this option with their faculty advisor and CNR Associate Dean for Academic Affairs prior to submitting an application to ensure it fits their long-term career goals.

 

Eligibility:

  • Be currently enrolled in any CNR major
  • Junior or higher standing
  • Cumulative overall GPA of 3.00 or higher. You must maintain a 3.00 GPA through graduation.

 

Application process:

 

Required courses: 9 credits

During your senior year you may register for the 500 or 600 version of any required or elective CNR course in your major or minor. You may take a maximum of 9 credits in 500 or 600-level classes, which will then count towards your electives in the MNR program.

This will leave 22 credits to be completed in the MNR program.
