Literature & Practice, 3-6 credits

Take one of the following courses in your primary area of interest:

MUED 583 - Music Education Workshop Credits: 1-3 (Choral Rehearsal Techniques or Instrumental Rehearsal Techniques topics only)
MUS 600 - Orchestral Music for Secondary Schools Credits: 3
MUS 622 - Song Literature Credits: 3
MUS 623 - Seminar in Choral Literature: Baroque, Classical, and Romantic Credits: 3
MUS 624 - History and Literature of Wind Ensemble Music Credits: 3
MUS 625 - Wind Ensemble Music for Secondary Schools Credits: 3
MUS 627 - Symphonic Music Credits: 3

Note

Students who wish to apply for this certificate must first submit a 10-15 minute video sample of their conducting, including rehearsal and performance selections to the department.
