Biomedical Writing Minor

This minor is administered by the Department of English .

Designed for students in good academic standing who already have a major or minor in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Clinical Laboratory Science, or any other health-related majors or minors. The Biomedical Writing Minor will help you acquire (a) proficiency in the technical skill of biomedical writing; (b) knowledge about contemporary approaches to and issues in biomedical communication; (c) knowledge about the history and culture of both biomedical research and patient care; and (d) an understanding of the social and environmental contexts within which epidemiological phenomena manifest themselves.

Consists of a minimum of 23 credits plus a 1-3 credit recommended internship.

Note: Required courses marked ** below have Math prerequisites. Depending on your placement score, additional courses may be required.
