Environmental Education and Interpretation Certificate

This certificate is administered by the Environment and Society Discipline.

The certificate is open to undergraduate students who have an interest in natural resources and/or education. Students minoring or majoring in the Environmental Education and Interpretation, BS or Environmental Education and Interpretation: Wildlife Education Option, BS are not eligible for this certificate.

This certificate consists of a minimum of 12 credits. You must maintain a 2.25 GPA minimum in these courses.

Required, 9-10 credits

NRES 301 - Foundations of Environmental Education I Credits: 3 or
NRES 370 - Introduction to Environmental Study and Education Credits: 3
NRES 368 - Oral Interpretation Methods Credits: 3
NRES 374 - Environmental Interpretation Practicum Credits: 3 or
NRES 376 - Environmental Education Practicum Credits: 4

Electives, 3-4 credits

NRES 281 - Introduction to Recreation and Parks Credits: 3
NRES 302 - Foundations of Environmental Education II Credits: 1
