Health Science and Wellness: Clinician Degree Option, BS


This major is administered by the area of Health Sciences and Wellness  in the School of Health Sciences and Wellness .

Program Learning Outcomes

As a graduate of the Health Science Program, you will gain the following competencies:

  1. PROFESSIONALISM: Health science professionals clearly demonstrate ethical and professional behavior in various learning situations, demonstrating personal accountability for actions
  2. CRITICAL THINKING: Health science professionals are resourceful professionals & researchers who demonstrate critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  3. COMMUNICATION: Health science professionals must be capable of demonstrating effective communication both verbally and in writing
  4. COLLABORATION: Health science professionals must be capable of working collaboratively as members in teams


Consists of a minimum of 80 credits.

Academic core requirements


  • Associate or Diploma degree in a clinical allied health discipline from a programmatically and regionally accredited institution.
  • Eligibility for or current registration, certification, or licensure in a clinical allied health discipline such as dental hygienist, medical laboratory technician, nursing, occupational therapy assistant, paramedic, physical therapy assistant, radiography, respiratory therapist, and sonography (this is not an exhaustive list).

Clinical Education


Clinical Education Minimum of 30 clinical education credits resulting in registration, certification, or licensure in a clinical allied health discipline. You may complete this requirement with equivalent transfer credits or by successful admission to and completion of the Marshfield Clinic Health System School of Radiography Program, https://www.marshfieldclinic.org/education/marshfield-clinic-schoolof-radiography.
