Sociology Core

Required, 13 credits

SOC 101 - Introduction to Sociology 3 cr.
SOC 350 - Sociological Theory 3 cr.
SOC 351 - Social Statistics 4 cr.
SOC 352 - Research Methods 3 cr.

Upper-level requirement, 18 credits

Earn at least 18 credits in courses 300 and above.

Electives

Complete remaining credits from any sociology courses.

Teacher Certification

For teacher certification in sociology, the requirements are the same as above. Also see the Education section earlier in this catalog for additional requirements for teacher certification and admission to the Professional Education Program.

Adult Life and Aging Concentration

Consists of a minimum of 15 credits.

SOC 467 - Social Gerontology 3 cr.
SOC 492 - Applied Sociology Practicum 3-6 cr. *
SOC 493 - Applied Sociology Practicum Seminar 1 cr. *
