International Studies Minor

This minor is administered by the Department of History and International Studies.
Consists of 24 credits plus world language requirement.
Note: Depending on your math placement score, additional courses may be required. The following required courses below have Math prerequisites: ECON 110.

HIST 100 must be taken with the topic of Global Cultural Concepts, or other appropriate subtitle
Native Language is English
If your native language is English, you must complete or test out of two semesters of college level world language.
Native Language is Not English
If your native language is not English, then you may use English to fulfill your international studies language requirement, by completing either ENGL 150 or ENGL 202.
HIST 400 must be taken with the topic of International History, or other appropriate subtitle
Take 9 credits from the following course list; 6 credits must be in courses numbered 300 and above. A course used to fulfill a requirement in the Foundational Courses or the Language Requirement for the minor cannot count twice as fulfilling credits in this category as well.
You may take any 300-level or above course in a world language (Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, and Russian) OR the following courses:
Complete a study abroad program with 15 credits or more taken in consultation with the International Studies Coordinator
Native Language is English
If your native language is English, you must complete or test out of two semesters of college level world language.

If your native language is not English, then you may use English to fulfill your international studies language requirement, by completing either ENGL 150 or ENGL 202.
