Accounting

Majoring in accounting positions you for a challenging career in a changing global business environment. As an accounting student you may desire to work in the accounting department of an organization in industry, or choose public accounting. You may take a position in public accounting firms providing tax, auditing, and consulting services to your clients. If employed by a corporation or non-profit organization, you may work as part of the management team involved in decision-making and tax analysis to provide reliable financial data.

If you desire to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), you must complete 150 credit hours of education to qualify to sit for the CPA exam. The additional credits may be either undergraduate or graduate credits.
