HPW 380 - Health Promotion in Special Populations Description: Issues related to health promoting lifestyle strategies that consider the specific needs of special populations, including, but not limited to: older adults, children, obesity, diabetes, CVD, cancer, anxiety, depression, osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, COPD, PAD, arthritis and musculoskeletal injuries. Basic principles of lifestyle determinants of health in the general population will briefly be reviewed. Evidence-based, advanced health promotion methods and population-specific considerations will be discussed.
Prerequisites: FN 253 or Instructor Consent
