MUS 615 - Contemporary Music Theory for Music Teachers
Description:
Fundamentals of jazz and pop music theory including lead sheet symbols, jazz nomenclature, functional keyboard skills in contemporary and jazz styles, score analysis of jazz and contemporary music, arranging techniques for contemporary and jazz styles, and basic improvisation techniques. Available for undergraduate credit as MUS 415 .
Prerequisites:
Admission to the MME Program or Instructor Consent
