Geodesign Capstone Certificate

This certificate is administered by the Department of Geography and Geology .
The Capstone Certificate in Geodesign is intended to fill the growing demand for integrated geospatial design skills in today’s job market. Geodesign is an exciting new field that integrates spatial technology into the design/planning process in order to effectively and efficiently inventory, represent, analyze, evaluate, and communicate planning and design alternatives. This collaborative certificate offered by UW-Madison and UW-Stevens Point offers a practical experiential, project-based curriculum to provide skills needed across a spectrum of Geodesign contexts focusing on design and planning solutions.

Required, 15 credits
Complete 15 graduate-level credits in the following five courses:

If you are a UW-Stevens Point undergraduate and take GEOG 533 and GEOG 633 and earn a 3.0/4.0 or better, you may apply these courses toward the Capstone Certificate in Geodesign upon acceptance. Contact the UW-Stevens Point GIS Center, Department of Geography and Geology, or the Geodesign Capstone Coordinator for more information about the program.
