Health Education (910) Certification


Administered by the area of Physical and Health Education  in the School of Education .This certification is approved for health education for PK-12th grade. This program consists of four core classes, with two classes offered each summer semester.

Program Requirements


  • You must have completed a bachelor’s degree. 
  • You must already have a teacher licensure/certification or be license eligible in another teaching area as determined by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to enroll in this program.  
  • You must meet a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. If you do not meet this minimum, you must take the Praxis II Content exam in their area. 
  • You must meet the state teacher licensing rules which are subject to change at any time due to legislative or licensing changes. 

Pathways


  1. This Health Education certification can be completed as a specialization in the Education, MSE  program, and if you are pursuing this pathway, you will enroll as a degree seeking student.  
  2. This Health Education certification can be taken as certification only, and if you are pursuing this pathway, you will enroll as a non-degree seeking student.
