Admission Standards

Admission to UW-Stevens Point M.B.A. in Applied Leadership and Decision Making is open to those who have completed an undergraduate program at an accredited U.S. college or its equivalent in another country.

To be admitted to the MBA in Applied Leadership and Decision Making you need to:

• Apply for graduate study at UW-Stevens Point by submitting:

o Submitting a UWSP Graduate Student Application

o Paying an application fee

o Submitting official transcripts

• Apply to the MBA in the Sentry School of Business and Economics by:

o Completing a Sentry School of Business and Economics MBA application

o Submitting official or unofficial transcripts

o Submitting scores for the GMAT or GRE examination or completing a waiver request

o Submitting a resume

o Writing a letter of intent

o Requesting recommendations

The Admission Committee bases its decision on:

• GPA: A bachelor’s degree completed with a satisfactory GPA.

• Transcripts: Official college transcripts.

• Examination: A satisfactory score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). Applicants may request that the graduate admission test be waived.

• Recommendations: Two recommendations from a current or past employer, professor or professional colleague.

• Resume and Letter of Intent: A personal resume and letter of intent, including background qualifications, professional development, and career goals.

• Business Literacy: Evidence of business literacy demonstrated through professional experience or business coursework.

Applicants may request that the graduate admission test requirement (GMAT or GRE) be waived. Applicants must submit this request in writing to the Admission Committee before admission.

Academic Standards

Minimum GPA requirement for this program is 3.00.
