About this Program

The Graduate Certificate in Equity and Inclusion in Education consists of 12-credits of coursework as well as a train-the-trainer capstone experience (course/course). The course work explores systems, structures, policies, practices, and attitudes to create a more equitable and inclusive learning environment, culminating with an action-oriented project. This certificate is designed for students in the educational sustainability doctoral program that want a concentration in education for equity and inclusion.

Obtaining the certificate in conjunction with the EdD requires 57-credits and all courses should be taken at the 800- or 900-level.

Master’s students are allowed to take EdD courses with permission of the Director of the Educational Sustainability program at the 700-level.
