About this Program
The Health and Wellness Coaching Graduate Certificate teaches competencies needed to help clients make and maintain healthy changes. The program is designed with busy professionals in mind. It is comprised of four courses offered 100% online via a mix of scheduled live interactive classes and independent learning modules. The program can be taken for continuing education credits (CECs) and/or for graduate credit. Both options meet the standards of the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NHWC) and prepare you to sit for the NBHWC certification exam. The UWSP Health and Wellness Coaching Graduate Certificate Program is a National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching approved program. Once you complete the four courses in the certificate program, you will be eligible to sit for the NBHWC exam. The program content is aligned with NBHWC curriculum requirements and include the following:
1. Expertise in health and wellness
2. Health and wellness coaching foundations
3. Advanced techniques in health and wellness coaching
4. Ethics and preparation for professional practice.
