Program Learning Outcomes (UWSP)
Upon completion of the BFA Theatre Design and Technology Program, you will be able to:
Demonstrate a significant knowledge of conventions, historical and contemporary perspectives, common vocabulary, and cultural practices in theatre and dance production.
Analyze plays (scripts/libretto/choreographer’s statement/director’s notes) perceptively and evaluate critically to inform creative work.
Communicate design ideas through 2-D drawing, drafting and rendering (including CAD), 3-D modeling/sampling and through verbal, aural, and written presentations.
Employ the Design Process and utilize elements and principles of design to achieve and communicate desired intentions.
Contribute to the creation of theatrical production by employing discipline-specific skills and technologies while cultivating a personal approach to artistry.
