Podcasting Production Certificate

The Podcasting Certificate provides students with media and journalism training for one of the fastest growing areas of digital media storytelling. Through this certificate, students will gain experience with the fundamentals of writing, producing, and distributing podcasts, with the objective of students to eventually produce original podcast content for distribution. Through this certificate program, students will be provided instruction of the technical audio production skills required to produce podcasts including audio and video production, recording and mixing techniques, dialogue and narration recording, principles of field recording, mixing for podcasts, and finalizing processes for podcast distribution. Students will also be able to develop ideation strategies for concept development as well as professional approaches to journalistic, scriptwriting, and editorial resources.
