FOR 524 - Fire Management and Ecology Description: Overview of wildland fire management and history in the U.S., with discussions on wildfire prevention, mitigation, suppression, and prescribed fire. Fire ecology and fire effects in temperate forests will be a primary focus in combination with techniques for planning, conducting, and evaluating prescribed fires. Available for undergraduate credit as FOR 324 .
