This program is administered by the Department of Biology .
Although not required, most professional schools recommend that you complete a bachelor of science degree before entering a professional school. Most professional schools do not have a required major. You are encouraged to choose a major that interests you, as long as the program prerequisites are completed. However, most students major in Biology or Biochemistry. Contact the appropriate pre-professional adviser for suggested electives and requirements as early as possible.
Most doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) programs require a grade of C or better in all required coursework and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
