Strength and Conditioning Minor

This minor is administered by the area of Health Sciences and Wellness  in the School of Health Sciences and Wellness .

The strength and conditioning minor is designed for students who are interested in applying scientific knowledge to design, implement and train individuals with the goals of improving health, fitness and/or performance. Students will gain expertise in leading exercise assessments, creating workouts and coaching proper exercise techniques to provide effective strength and conditioning programs.  The strength and conditioning minor will provide you with a distinct education to pursue industry leading certifications such as the National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Additionally, students will be prepared for careers in settings such as colleges, high schools, professional sport teams, sports medicine clinics, and fitness facilities.

Consists of a minimum of 27 credits.
