This certificate is administered by the Department of Sociology and Social Work.
The Social Justice and Equity certificate consists of 12-credits of coursework including elective and applied courses as well as a core requirement course (SOC 386 ). The program critically examines the principles of social justice theory and practice, social activism, and cultivates professional proficiencies that address equity, diversity and inclusion - with particular focus in the United States.
