Process Control Engineering Graduate Certificate

This certificate is administered by the Department of Paper Science and Chemical Engineering .

This graduate certificate program is intended to educate and train engineering and manufacturing professionals in the skills and abilities expected of a process control engineer. As a graduate certificate, it aims to expand the skills and abilities of engineers and career professionals in paper, chemical, and other manufacturing fields that rely on process control in their workflow. Upon completion of this certificate, students will be able to:

  1. Identify, scope, and justify an automation project.
  2. Determine process and customer requirements and how to meet those requirements.
  3. Design, specify, and procure the software and equipment needed for a control system.
  4. Develop and code control software.
  5. Supervise installation and startup of control systems.
  6. Provide support for control systems.

This certificate consists of five courses totaling 15 credits. Enrollment in the courses below is contingent on acceptance to the Process Control Engineering Graduate Certificate Program.
